This project was a study of the Wendell Burnette Studio/Residence in Phoenix, AZ. Starting with a drafting exercise to parse out the logic of the building, our group created our own understanding of the building. After doing so, we built a model that could be taken apart to show the ideas behind the building. The model was made using raw planks of basswood to be first processed then molded to create the monoliths, floors, and terrain.
