The summer of 2016, when my parents bought an empty lot in Queens, NY, I saw to opportunity to take a crack at designing a residential project, eventually working under the mentorship of a local engineering firm to understand the relationship between architecture and the government. My set of drawings, which included zoning analysis through energy evaluation, was used as a baseline for an architecture firm to correct, improve, and submit for approval.
